Your junior year already marks the halfway point of your high school journey and is a pivotal time. Colleges and universities look closely at your grades, scheduled courses and activities when making admissions decisions. For both students and parents, it is imperative to stay on top of the college preparation process both during junior year and the following summer.

The Grade 11 package include up to 6 meetings a year and Grade 12 includes up to 15 meetings per year.  The calendar year begins July 1.

Our comprehensive package for 11th grade students begins with an in-depth college exploration phase. Following a comprehensive evaluation of your academic profile, extracurricular involvement, and personal interests your counselor will provide guidance as you explore colleges, evaluate their offerings, and identify institutions that align most closely with your academic and personal goals. This process empowers you to methodically schedule college visits, prioritize standardized testing, and strategically manage application opportunities.

Your counselor will work with you to create a comprehensive plan for the rest of high school, ensuring you make the most of your academic and extracurricular opportunities. By planning ahead, you can strategically choose courses for your junior and senior years that align with your intended college major or area of interest, demonstrating your commitment and readiness.

Your counselor can provide guidance on when and how to prepare for standardized tests like the SAT or ACT, helping you maximize your potential scores.

Taking on leadership roles, engaging in extracurricular pursuits, and participating in community service all play pivotal roles in fortifying your college application. Your counselor will aid you in recognizing and prioritizing extracurricular involvements that highlight your interests and bolster the depth of your application. Furthermore, your counselor can suggest impactful summer programs, internships, or volunteer opportunities that elevate your resume and provide you with a competitive edge.
