The Grade 10 package includes up to 4 meetings per year, Grade 11 includes up to 8 meetings per year, and Grade 12 includes up to 15 meetings per year. The calendar year begins July 1.
Your counselor will work with you to create a comprehensive plan for the rest of high school, ensuring you make the most of your academic and extracurricular opportunities. Students are encouraged to reflect on their strengths, weaknesses, interests, and values to guide them toward activities and goals that align with their personal identity.
Colleges consider the rigor and breadth of your transcript when evaluating applications. They pay attention to how challenging and diverse your classes are and how various subjects align with your potential interests. By mapping out your courses, you can ensure you have the prerequisites for advanced classes and can take advantage of unique opportunities.
Your counselor can provide guidance on when and how to prepare for standardized tests like the PSAT, PreACT, SAT or ACT, helping you maximize your potential scores.
Now is the time to set aside time for extracurricular activities, taking on leadership positions, and getting involved in community service. These are all crucial aspects of a strong college application that shows you're well-rounded. Additionally, your counselor can recommend useful summer programs, internships, or volunteer options that will make your resume stand out and give you an advantage over other applicants.
